Grace’s journey with Pilates began as she sought a fitness routine that would preserve her knee health. Over time, Pilates not only helped her stay fit but also became the backbone of her rehabilitation, enabling her to enjoy various activities despite her knee degeneration. Her training under the late Master Teacher Alvin Giam and Serene Teo at Pilates Bodyworks, along with workshops by esteemed instructors like Pilates Elder Jay Grimes, honed her expertise.
Beyond Pilates, Grace holds certifications in yoga from Dr. Venky’s Shivshakti Yoga Institute (International) India, and yin yoga from Pure Yoga, Stanley Lim. Her teaching style revolves around emphasizing proper alignment and customizing each individual’s practice to achieve their personal goals. She encourages her students to explore their unique qualities, modify movements, and embrace poses that suit their bodies best. This approach led her to focus on Pilates and yoga fundamentals, prompting her to step away from more intense classes.
Outside of her fitness passions, Grace finds joy in the great outdoors, particularly road cycling to destress and stay active. Adventurous holidays are her cup of tea, and she embraces activities like mountain climbing and skydiving to feed her adventurous spirit.
