OHM Teacher

Kimberly

Kimberly started practicing yoga since 2006 and had obtained her 200hr YTTC under Dr Venky’s Shivshakti Yoga Institute (International) India in 2010. She has since been actively teaching for the past 12 years. In 2015, she had completed her 500hr YTTC with Valerie Faneco in the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya and had the privilege to learn from many senior teachers in the same tradition.

She believes in education, giving back to the society and empowering people with the skills to navigate life’s challenges using the tools of yoga. She had also volunteered since her teenage days in the family service center in Singapore and had served the local community, earning her a long service award by the Ministry for Community Development, Youth and Sports. She had the opportunity to serve in overseas missions both in India and in Philippines, assisting to teach children and, reaching out to serve the community. At this moment, she is helping actively with the residents committee (seniors) and, volunteering her time at Lion Befrienders, teaching chair yoga to the seniors. Largely, she remains a student at heart, relentlessly diving deeper into the science of yoga. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience in Mental Health.

Besides her daily practice on her mat, she enjoys her daily walk and time with her family and dog. She hopes to share mindful yoga practice with a teaching style that is inclusive for people from all walks of life. She believes yoga beyond the mat is the real practice.
